The new Model 537 is available as a Class 7 truck or tractor with a GVWR up to 33,000 lbs. It is highly versatile and can be configured to exceed the demands of many vocational applications. It has two cab roof heights, three hood configurations, through rail option, and a variety of bumper and electrical wiring options.

9-liter PACCAR PX-9 engine: High power-to-weight ratio, suitable for heavy payloads (260 to 450 horsepower, up to 1,250 lb.-ft. of torque)

7-liter PACCAR PX-7 engine: Superior performance, minimized costs and increased uptime for medium-duty customers (260 horsepower and up to 750 lb.-ft. of torque)

Two natural gas alternatives include the Cummins L9N engine (250-320 horsepower, 660-1,000 lb.-ft. of torque) and the Cummins B6.7N engine (200-240 horsepower, 520-560 lb.-ft. of torque)

  • PACCAR TX-8 automatic transmissions: Optimize PX engines for medium duty applications, with a maximum torque rating of 1,000 lb.-ft., best-in-class power-to-weight ratio and up to 5% fuel savings compared to competitors
  • Other transmissions options are available from Allison Automatics and Eaton, including manual and UltraShift

Built for long-term durability

The Model 537’s cab, hood and chassis components are built tough. The VMUX multiplex electrical system provides common electrical architecture for seamless body integration and advanced programming for a wide variety of applications. Visibility is excellent as a result of the large windscreen, sloped hood, large mirrors and an industry-leading forward lighting system that provides superior light coverage and beam uniformity. Other exterior features include:
  • Three Bumper Options: One-piece channel painted or chrome, one-piece aero composite painted and in-mold color, and three-piece aero metal
  • High-Performing Halogen Headlights: For excellent light coverage and excellent serviceability
  • Hood Options: SMC aero hoods in 107" and 109" BBC configurations, both designed to maximize visibility
  • Sturdy Fixed Grille: Available for the 109" BBC FEPTO. The grille is stationary, has pull through rails and a 24” bumper extension for front end mounted equipment
  • Robust Cab-Mounted Mirrors: For optimized visibility and durability
  • Mirrors: Large flat glass and integrated convex mirrors with available heating elements and motorized glass
  • Fuel Tanks: D-shaped to maximize volume in a small space in sizes from 50 to 100 gallons
  • Battery Box: Under-the-cab battery box features best-in-class stair-style steps for easy cab entry
